Maui Peace Advocates Line Kaʻahumanu Ave on the 5th Anniversary of the Iraq War
Yesterday, at Maui Community College (MCC) in Kahului, HI, the Maui Peace Action organization, MCC Peace Club, CodePink, MoveOn.org, and World Canʻt Wait - Maui hosted a peace vigil on the 5th anniversary of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Maui News covered the story, and a photo of Maui Peace Action president Mele Stokesberry and CodePink member Nadine Newlight (in orange jumpsuit and black hood) made the front page of the paper. Click here to see the photo and caption.
Akaku: Maui Community Television independent producers were there to get news coverage, which will air on the Maui Daily at 7pm on Channel 54. There is a short video segment to come (look for it here on the blog!).
In the meantime, weʻve got a few more photos in this post to show you the highlights (from photographer Sara Tekula).
