Maui Peace Action joins local inter-denominational churches and MCC Peace Club to co-sponsor the 21st annual Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Wed. Aug. 6 in Central Maui. Besides the dynamic slide talk on nuclear issues by Dr. Seiji Yamada (UH John Burns School of Medicine, physician to Marshall Island nuclear testing radiation victims, originally from Hiroshima), we have a Japanese Tea Ceremony by Mrs. Chieko Nagata, hula, origami crane making (at 6:30), displays loaned from the Hiroshima Peace Museum, inter-faith chants and prayers, and refreshments for all. It's free, program starting at 7pm, at the Kahului Hongwanji Mission, 291 S. Pu'unene Ave. (2nd church Pu'unene side of the Wakea Ave. corner). Don't miss this inspiring and annual Maui Peace Event!
